This action-packed superhero franchise from Marvel garnered high expectations before its theatrical release and received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike. The film follows Steve Rogers (played by Chris Evans), a small, weak civilian who is trying to get into the army. Although he’s been rejected several times, Rogers’ persistence keeps him attempting to get in and finally gets his chance when there is an opportunity for a secret experiment. This experiment enhances Rogers into a superhuman of sorts who now carries with him the great characteristics of a hungry, determined boy.
With his new chiseled body, Steve goes on tour as the face of the Army’s marketing campaign until he is able to jump on the opportunity to get overseas and take on the evil Axis against his orders. Axis is lead by Red Skull (played by Hugo Weaving). The adventure carries on through the end and after the credits to tease the new Avengers film that may be the most anticipated superhero movie of all time.
